There are seven main steps in the process of producing precision injection molds, also known as seven systems. Among these seven systems, the positioning system is an important part of precision injection mold design. If the design is unreasonable, the injection mold will be damaged, the specifications do not meet the requirements, and the processing is misaligned. Therefore, we must pay attention to the rationality of the positioning system in the design of precision molds.

The first requalitative: the initial positioning of the mold is completed by the guide column guide sleeve on the mold frame. The cooperation between the guide post and the guide sleeve is a clearance fit. For example, the MISUMI precision-level guide post and guide sleeve have a diameter of 25MM, and the clearance is between 0.02-0.03MM. If it is not properly matched, it is easy to cause mold wear, and the degree of wear will be more serious, and the gap between the final molded product and the drawing product is large.

Second qualitative: usually completed by the precise positioning of the sides on the die frame, the precise positioning of the cylinder, etc. This certainty is to compensate for the positioning error of the first qualitative effect as effectively as possible, so the cooperation requirements between the mold frames are more strict, and the cooperation accuracy is within 0.01MM. At the same time, the lifting error of the mold on the machine can also be avoided.

The third qualitative: the positioning of tiger mouth. With the development of CNC technology, Hukou positioning technology is being used in more and more factories. The purpose of making the tiger’s mouth is to accurately position the dynamic and fixed mold kernel, so the angle of the tiger’s mouth is more than 1 ° smaller than the break angle of the mold kernel, and the height is more than 2MM.

Precision mold design and processing must pay attention to these three qualitative characteristics. As long as these three points are well done, the problems of low mold accuracy and large errors will not usually occur. If these three qualities are ignored, if there are errors in the products produced, they will need to be reprocessed, which is a waste of time and technical difficulty is higher than the first manufacturing.
